Yes! At this time BETA Academy offers Kudo Workshops for beginners and advanced martial artists. We plan to hold regularly scheduled beginner-friendly Kudo classes in Washington, DC designed for students with no prior experience in the coming months. Our classes focus on proper technique, conditioning, and building confidence while learning this modern mixed martial art.
Wear comfortable athletic clothing like a T-shirt or rash guard and shorts. If you have a Kudo gi or a uniform in any other martial art you are welcome to wear it as well. If you have your own hand wraps and gloves, and shin guards bring them. If not, we have loaner equipment available for beginners.

Kudo literally means “The way of the open mind” and its goal is to simulate a real fight while keeping its practitioners relatively safe.
Yes, we currently have workshops and in the in the near future we plan to have dedicated Kids Kudo classes that focus on discipline, fitness, and fun, as well as adult classes for all skill levels.
