The Academy for Body Efficient Tactical Arts (BETA Academy) was established in 2009 by life-long martial arts practitioner Nakapan Phungephorn.  Our name is inspired by the “Siamese Fighting Fish” of Thailand (also known as the BETA Fish).   Thou admired for their color and beauty, the fighting fish is a fierce fighter capable of unleashing the most deadly and efficient attacks against would be aggressors.  The instinctual fighting ability of these fish invokes the cultural heritage of Thailand that is closely tied with Muay Thai.

BETA Academy’s mission is to help our members and students find  physical, mental and spiritual strength through the martial arts.

We strive to accomplish this by providing world-class instruction in a friendly, enjoyable and ever-evolving martial arts training experience that challenges our students in a safe, clean environment.

Our aim is to encourage ALL to take part and enjoy the positive health benefits of practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai.  This will ensure that we continue to preserve the art, history and culture of the fighting arts for the people.
