About Femme Fatale Fitness Boot Camp
The Femme Fatale Fitness Boot Camp at BETA Academy is Washington D.C.’s premier women only fitness program. Designed by a U.S. Marine and a Professional Thai Boxer, Femme Fatale combines the battle- tested workouts utilized by the U.S. military along with effective training techniques used by martial artists to get into incredible shape
We use a proven fitness methodology to empower women of all ages and fitness levels to get the results they are looking for. Utilizing a variety of effective tools, we combine resistance training, cardio conditioning, core strengthening and functional movement exercises that are performed in high intensity interval training (HIIT) sessions. Each class is packed with fun and energizing activities designed to help women reach their fitness goals in a minimum amount of time.
Femme Fatale Fitness Boot Camp is designed for any woman who has a burning desire to succeed. Our Sergeant is nationally certified, knowledgeable and can modify any exercise in order to push you to be your personal best. Anyone from a couch potato to an endurance athlete will feel challenged. We guarantee it!
To ensure that our recruits are challenged to their personal best in every single class and never get the same workout twice, we incorporate tools such as suspension trainers, kettle bells, gymnastics equipment, medicine balls, and battling ropes. No two training sessions are the same, so your body never has time to get used to the workouts and your mind never has the opportunity to get bored!

Who has time to exercise? You do! At Femme Fatale Fitness Boot Camp, your workouts are precisely designed to give you maximum results in minimum time. We simultaneously integrate five essential fitness exercises – cardiovascular, core, resistance, strength and flexibility – to give you a lean, toned and healthy body. As a result, you will firm, tone, tighten and sculpt your entire body in under an hour!
How can you avoid the fitness plateau? By joining Femme Fatale Fitness Boot Camp! Left to our own devises, many of us will eventually hit a “fitness plateau” in which we keep working out hard but stop seeing results. This is the result of repeating the same workout patterns over and over again. Our bodies inevitably adapt to these workouts and cease to feel challenged. Femme Fatales of BETA Academy never repeat the same workout twice. To ensure that you consistently see the results, we never allow your body to adapt.
Who should go on a diet? Not Femme Fatales! Our dynamic workouts not only burn a significant amount of calories; they also accelerate your body’s metabolism, naturally increasing your ability to burn fat. As a result, you do not have to suffer through inordinately strict diets or starve in order to see results. You can’t be fatale if you are starving! Simply follow the customized and sensible eating guidelines (not diet) that we provide to you or sign up for our meal delivery service and watch your body transform.
Femme Fatale Fitness Boot Camp classes are designed to not only help you burn the most amount of fat and calories during your workout but to also increase your metabolism for up to 20 hours after each session. This afterburn effect allows our recruits to see amazing results in a short period of time.

FAQs About Femme Fatale Fitness Boot Camp
Q: I've never worked out before. Can I still attend boot camp?
A: Absolutely! Our program is designed for everyone, and every training session can be scaled to your abilities.
Q: What are the workouts like?
A: Every training session is different, but they generally include kettlebells, body weight exercises, stretching, and abdominal exercises.
Q: I have tried to lose weight before, but I've been unsuccessful. How will this program be any different?
A: Our instructors go over the common mistakes women make when trying to lose weight, and we will provide nutritional counseling to ensure our recruits stay on track to achieve their goals.
Q: I have an injured knee/wrist/back/other body part, can I still train?
A: Provided your doctor clears you for physical activity, we will design exercises that do not exacerbate your injury. You will still be able to keep up with the class.
Q: Do you offer private training sessions?
A: Yes. We have many different training packages available. Private lessons are an excellent way to work on specific techniques or to supplement other training.
Q: How many sessions a week should I attend to see results?
A: To achieve your fitness goals, we recommend that you attend at least 2 sessions a week and follow a healthy meal plan.

Sergeant Laurie Porsch
An Active Duty U.S. Marine who has deployed several times to Afghanistan and Iraq, Sergeant Laurie brings the discipline and fortitude required of anyone who is serious about meeting their weight loss and fitness goals. Sergeant Laurie not only provides the discipline of a real military boot camp; she also brings a ton of motivation and energy to each one of her sessions.
Sergeant Laurie first became interested in fitness in 2006, after breaking her foot. Her injury severely incapacitated her, leading her to gain more than 25 pounds in unhealthy weight. Consequently, Laurie made the decision to get back in shape. To keep her mind and body focused during dangerous deployments, she studied fitness and nutrition. After recovering from her injury, she surpassed the strict physical demands of the U.S. Marine Corps. Further demonstrating her personal dedication to living a healthy lifestyle, she has also competed in fitness competitions.
Sergeant Laurie is now an Instructor of Combat Conditioning and Martial Arts in the Marine Corps. During her second tour in Al Anbar, Iraq, Laurie also became Level 1 certified in CrossFit instruction. Laurie started training Brazilian Jiu- Jitsu at BETA Academy in June 2010.
Sergeant Laurie gives the same level of service and dedication to BETA Academy’s Femme Fatale Fitness Boot Camp that she provides to her country. Using her experience in the Marine Corps, where she muscled through intense Boot Camp and combat training, she has designed a vigorous fitness program that makes no excuses and is proven to provide the results women are looking for.
As a Fitness Instructor at BETA Academy, Sergeant Laurie shows her students that strong is sexy, that working out can be fun, and that physical fitness is about investing in one’s health now and for the future. She empowers her students to attain new levels of fitness through a vigorous training program that challenges each to do her personal best and to continuously push that threshold. A variety of fun yet effective action- packed training sessions help women to meet their weight- loss and fitness goals while gaining functional strength. Because strong, empowered women who exercise together stay together, Sergeant Laurie does her best to make workouts fun in addition to being effective.
Sergeant Laurie’s unique experiences in the Marine Corps have shaped her fitness philosophy: A fit, lean body is the result of a healthy lifestyle that consists of balanced nutrition, effective exercise, and a healthy sense of self. She is not a proponent of dieting. Rather, she encourages her recruits to make healthy, sustainable lifestyle changes that promote dramatic results. Each one of her recruits thus receives constant encouragement and advice for how to make these changes.
